Naast talentvolle voetballers zijn er op de AEGON Future Cup ook beloftevolle scheidsrechters actief. De KNVB heeft speciaal voor het internationale jeugdtoernooi van Ajax een aantal arbiters uit de masterclass betaald voetbal beschikbaar gesteld. Gerhard Verwoort volgde ze namens de voetbalbond op de voet.
