Het nieuws hing al enkele weken in de lucht, na de bevestiging van AS Trencin, maar nu is het ook door Ajax zelf bevestigd. 

Lobotka wordt voor 1 jaar gehuurd, tot 1 juli 2014. In deze huur-constructie is ook een optie tot koop genomen.
