Beschermde status Ajax bij CL-voorronde

Dankzij de zege van Lazio op Napoli (2-4) is Ajax verzekerd van een beschermde status in de laatste voorronde van de UEFA Champions League. Hierdoor ontloopt Ajax enkele topclubs, waaronder Manchester United, in de laatste voorronde (play-offs) richting het hoofdtoernooi van de Champions League.
